Homelessness at Home

Homelessness at Home Participants_Zahra ClaiborneThe 2015 Homelessness at Home program will build upon the success of the past five years, and will introduce students to the topics of homelessness, mental health, poverty, and discrimination, and the intricate relationships amongst these areas. This program partners with the Mustard Seed Calgary, and will provide participants with the opportunity to critically examine the prejudice and stigma that the homeless population faces in Calgary and across Canada, and the factors that can lead to homelessness.

In addition to partnering with the Mustard Seed, participants will volunteer with a number of community organizations in Calgary, including Alpha House, the United Way, and the Calgary Food Bank.
